Overview

Before completing this application, please ensure you have read:

All applications will require supporting documents. Please make sure that the correct documents are attached when requested in your application.

Supporting documents may include: 

  • Certificate of Incorporation 
  • ACNC Registration
  • Business Registration 
  • Certificate of Public Liability Insurance 
  • Quotes / evidence of costings for items you intend to purchase
  • Quotes for any service delivery 
  • Annual report/ Financial statement ( required for medium & large grants) 

We encourage you to submit your application within the first 2 weeks of a Grant Round opening. This means that if your application is missing any information, then you will be notified and given the opportunity to resubmit before the Round closes. 

Any applications submitted in the last two weeks of the Grant Round must ensure that all information is provided as incomplete applications will not be considered

Important Information

Grant recipients are responsible for obtaining any planning and/or building approval that may be required before completing improvements. Please ensure these costs are included in your budget. For further information about planning and building requirements you can contact the City of Stirling Approvals team via (08) 9205 8555 or by submitting an online enquiry.

Grant recipients need to ensure that any signage that is part of the shopfront improvement complies with the City of Stirling Advertising Signage and Road regulations.

For eligible applications submitted under the Innovative and Productive Communities, the entity must match fund the amount must requested in grant funding, including for quick response grants.

Eligibility Check

Applicants must be one of the following eligible entities:

  • Small business/ sole trader based in Stirling with an ABN
  • Not-for-profit organisation
  • Charities
  • Strata Bodies

Applicants must:

  • Have read the Community Grants Program Guidelines and relevant Grant Stream to confirm eligibility
  • Be based within the City of Stirling and/or deliver the activity within City boundaries
  • Have no outstanding acquittals or debts with the City of Stirling
  • Hold current Public Liability Insurance
  • Not be a current employee or Elected Member of the City of Stirling
  • Small & Medium grants -
    Applicants must allow a minimum of 60 business days between the round closing date and the proposed project or activity start date.
  • Large grants -
    Applicants must allow a minimum of 80 business days between the round closing date and the proposed project or activity start date.
